Currently there are many video cards available on the market, STB TV PCI, IX-Micro Turbo TV, and the ATI All-in-Wonder VGA Card to mention a few. The driver on your video card may not be compatible with WebTV, check with your TV Tuner card's manufacturer to see what cards are compatible with WebTV.
I keep getting a "WebTV for Windows could not find the necessary hardware" error.
This error usually occurs when the drivers for your video card and your sound card are not "binding" together.
You should probably check to see if your devices are listed in the Device Manager. If they are not, run Add New Hardware from the Control Panel.
Nothing is happening.
"I clicked on Start Scan for every channel and after I got to channel 99 I got a broadcast error."
Or, " I downloaded the Program Guide from my cable access provider and it says "Loader running may take approximately 10 minutes." After an hour, nothing happened.
Be sure to check and see that you did not install the release version of Windows 98 over a beta version. Also check that all the drivers are present in the Sound and Game Controllers section of Device Manager.
